NICK’S FIRST TASTE OF FATHERHOOD
Nick Cannon became a first-time dad during his marriage to legendary singer Mariah Carey. The duo tied the knot in 2008, at the songstress’ private estate in the Bahamas.
They welcomed their fraternal twins, Monroe Cannon and Moroccan Cannon in April 2011. The birth coincidentally fell on the couple’s third wedding anniversary.
Nick and Carey enjoyed marital bliss for years, until they filed for divorce in 2014. Despite efforts to fix the marriage, the music icons finalized the divorce two years later.
NICK CANNON’S CHILDREN WITH BRITTANY BELL
Barely a year after his split from Carey, Nick welcomed his first child with model Brittany Bell, whom he was dating at the time. Their son, Golden Sagon Cannon, in February 2017.
In December 2020, “The Masked Singer” host became a fourth-time father, welcoming his daughter Powerful Queen Cannon with Bell. Queen’s birth made Nick Cannon a proud father of two sons and two daughters.
THE MIRACLE BABIES
The Comedian marked another fatherhood milestone in June 2021, when he welcomed his second set of twins with partner, DJ Abby De La Rosa.
Nick Cannon and his girlfriend first disclosed they were expecting twin boys in April, with De La Rosa taking to Instagram to break the news. The expectant mom described the boys as her miracle babies, thanking them for choosing her to become their mom.
Following their arrival on June 14, the DJ shared the exciting news with fans on social media, alongside a video of herself cuddling her newborns.
The new mom, who began dating Nick Cannon last year, disclosed the twins’ names as Zion Mixolydian Cannon and Zillion Heir Cannon, nicknamed Zion and Zilly respectively.
BABY NUMBER SEVEN?
In May 2021, shortly after announcing De La Rosa’s pregnancy, news broke that the actor was expecting a seventh child. According to reports, Nick’s brief fling with one of his background actresses on his music game show “Wild ‘n’ Out,” Alyssa Scott, left her pregnant.
The model made the revelation by sharing a nude photo of herself rocking a baby bump on Instagram. She captioned the now-deleted post with the name of her soon-to-arrive son, Zen S. Cannon. Sure enough, the last name raised speculations that Nick Cannon was the baby’s father despite his relationship with Abby De La Rosa.
Nick confirmed himself as the baby’s dad on Father’s Day, when he appeared shirtless on Scott’s Instagram story. The child, expected to arrive anytime soon, would be the Hollywood icon’s fifth son, and first with Alyssa Scott.
Given his questionable views about the use of condoms, Zen would most likely not be the last of Nick’s bountiful brood. Time would tell.
